D-4 Bangkok Yolo Trip- Chatuchak/ Terminal 21/ Ratchada Train Market

9/10/2015

Hi people!
I've just started my Sem 5, my last semester in KDU.
Yea, I just have a little bit of time to continue my blog about my Bangkok Trip.
Ok, I'm not busy, just too lazy hahaha!!

Back to the point...
My Day 4 of Bangkok Trip was totally a boom!!!
It's amazing!
You know what? I tried something that I wanted to do for a long time in my life,
It's in my bucket list since long time ago, and I never thought that I can achieve it this year- 2015.
I'm always an independence girl in my parents and friends' eyes. But I have a little bit worry for myself.
Yea, I love and dare to try something I thought that it's fun, but sometimes I will ask myself, is it a little bit over and not suitable for me? I keep asking myself, why am I doing and thinking to do these thing? It is not compulsory for me to do.
Well, I step out my comfort zone.
I travel ALONE this day, in the Bangkok city.
YES, you are right. I travel alone.
Sometimes, people may ask..
Are you sure you want to travel alone at this age?
Yea, I'm just a 19 years old girl, and I'm willing to do this to learn something new.
People may say:
Are you crazy??!!! Don't be a stupid girl, find a people to go with you. It's too dangerous.
Well, I'm not a baby girl anymore.

I'm continue writing this in my lecture class.
She said: TRAVEL IS ANOTHER KIND OF EDUCATION.

This is definitely true. I learnt a lot of things I didn't expect and experience in my life.

OK, about solo travelling, I have a lots of thought on it. I'm thinking of posting another post just focus on my solo travel experience.

Now, I will just continue to share my day of being alone.

I looked for "motor taxi" infront of my aunt condominium to the nearest BTS station.
It tooks 10+ minutes walking distance to get there so I decided to take the "motor taxi".
Guess what? It just cost 10 baht. Which is around RM1.00+.

For the next, I bought a student rabbit card. I can top up for this card, it cost 300 baht+ and including deposit which is 100 baht which can refund. But I decided not to refund because I want to keep it as a memory.

*I already forget the actual cost for this card.*

And then I took the BTS from Bang Na to Mo Chit station.
Mo Chit station is where Chatuchak Weekend Market located at.
And yea, I took the BTS all the way from the beginning to the end.

Bangkok transit line is unlike Malaysia. It's easily to understand and not so complicated *luckily*
It doesn't means Malaysia LRT line is complicated to me. haha

I simply found a map of Chatuchak Weekend Market through online.
Guess what? Chatuchak Weekend Market is the World's Largest Weekend Market and it consist of 27 section.

After I reached Mo Chit station, I'm taking no.1 exit, and just follow the crowd. And I reached !

Luckily the day I went is not terribly hot. I love that kind of weather.

I went for two round of shopping.
Because it is too big, and I don't have any ideas on where to start to shop.
For the first round I just roughly went through all the shops and investigate what are they actually selling.
I didn't buy anything for the first round.

Then, I went to buy a cup of Thai Milk Tea, it is a must when you visit Thailand.
And Jessica suggest me to have this. It only cost 25 baht.

And then, I went to hunt for some cloth and footwear.
I bought few pieces of cloth, but I forget to take picture. It's ok, just ignore it.
It's cheap !!!!!!!

After some tiring shopping time. I went to have some Thailand MUST-EAT coconut Ice-cream!!!
You can spot this ice cream anywhere. That's why I'm quite confuse about going which stall to get this amazing stuff.
It only cost 30 baht for this portion.
Sangkaya in Malaysia cost around RM10 for this.
But, the huge different is one is selling beside the road and one is selling in a shop.
55555!!

*5555 in Thailand is known as laughing, synonym of "haha"! my aunt taught me that
I thought is crying hahahhaa!!*

After my shopping, I decided to go to Terminal 21.
Because Chatuchak is really hot and I was already very very very tired.
My leg is almost cramp.

But luckily, Chatuchak/Mo Chit BTS station is the first station,
so there's a lot of space to sit, yey!

Terminal 21 is located at Asok BRT station.
It is an airport theme shopping centre.
There's different country design on different level. So, you can travel to different country by just taking the escalator! hahhaa!!! *MY DREAM*

Before enter every shopping mall in Bangkok, there will be a security check.
I actually also feel scare because of the explosion case.

I love every single corner here.

I went to "Istanbul" and look for beauty buffet stuff and I bought some.
Some of the product have promotion for two for 300+ baht.
And I bought quite few things.
Their product is nice, and I've tried their Milk Plus Bright and Whitening Facial Scrub currently.
It's fresh and clean and make my face feel not oily.
*Their aloe vera gel smells good too!*

After doing some shopping, I went to have my lunch!!
I forget the restaurant name, it is a Thai Cuisine Restaurant opposite Bar B Que Plaza.
MAMA Mee with Green Curry

hmm, I would rate 6/10 for this, the noodles is nice but the Green curry is too sweet :(

After that, I went to a walk in the shopping mall again.
And I found out different level have different theme, even the toilet are also different too!!

OK, now my blog will start flooding with pictures!

JAPAN

And this is their washroom design!!!

Can you imagine this is a washroom???!!!

London

They use London street as a theme, and subway too!

London double decker bus

Istanbul

San Francisco City Street

Welcome to San Francisco City Street.
Look, every level they have decoration like this. It's cool and I really love it very much!

This is also San Francisco, but they use ocean theme.

Hollywood

You can experience your life as a star here!
hhaha
and there is some flash light to effect.
Their floor is red in colour because let us have a feeling of walking on a red carpet hahhahha!

Oscar award. This cool thing is as high as 3 storey building

The long escalator.
It brings you from the top floor straightly reach to the ground floor.

I forget what country is this, but I think it's Paris.
It located at the basement floor.

Rome

They got the Best Public Toilet award

SOLO SELFIE!

I'm quite awkward of taking my selfie actually because I have no company and I can't take out the phone and keep looking on my camera right?

It sounds crazy actually hahaha
So i had a quick selfie everytime.

After Terminal 21, I took MRT from Asok to Culture Centre MRT Station.
MRT passes is different from the BTS pass so I have to buy it again.
After reaching Culture Centre MRT Station, I followed the people again.
And I stopped by on this little roadside stall selling this.
I was attracted by the smell.

I ordered some and tried it.
They put on some quail egg on the flour based and top up with some minced pork.
OK, it taste nice without the minced pork because I'm not a pepper lover and I hate pepper.
The pork taste like there's a lot of pepper in it, so I dislike it.

But if you like pepper, you will definitely like it.

And I keep walking, when I come through a shopping mall, I saw many people walk through it.
I thought I was wrong, and I went to ask for the security guard for the correct information.

And I found it!
You need to go through this shopping mall for Ratchada Train Market.

I love every single elements in train market.
Train Market in Thailand sell vintage thing, second hand stuff, antique, and more!!!
I feel so bad for coming here alone. Because can you imagine, how can you come here for not taking pictures!!!
And I went through shopping the whole day, I need to carry a lot of stuff with me.

*That's why I always put 2-3 shopping bag in my bag*

Sorry for flooding with pictures again!

Look!
There's a barber shop, man can get their cool and unique old-school fashion hairstyle here.
I heard my aunt say it only cost around 100-300 baht and I'm not sure.

*I'm actually crying why there is no barber shop for girl, and I can get an aunty hairstyle like
“包租婆"

In case you dont know what is 包租婆, here's the picture.

XDD

And I stopped by a little stall selling milk.
Their bottle are actually attracting me.
The shop owner speaks chinese to me, I feel so happy.
Their bottle is actually a cow shape bottle.
And because I carrying a lot of things with me so I decided to throw it away TT
Now I regret.

There is a lot of interesting stuff and fashion in the train market.
I wanted to do nail art there but I need to take taxi back home alone so I give up on that.

I came to a stall making these cute cartoon pancake.
Well it is not perfect but I think it is amazing enough.

Cost 20 baht for this

And of course not forget the lovely coconut milkshake before I leave!
This only cost 30 baht and it taste nicer than the one i bought in JJ green night market.

Because I was too tiring of walking, I just take taxi home instead of taking MRT to BTS to motor again.

And you know what,
Thailand taxi is cheap!!!

It cost me around less than 300 baht to reach home, the journey is around 30 minutes.
But we need to pay the toll fees by ourself.

If this case happen in Malaysia, it will cost RM70+++ already.
That's why I don't always take taxi in Malaysia,
and I feel unsafe also hahaha!

ARGH!
Finally I finished my post after so long time.

Hope you enjoy it.

Leave me some question if you wanted to ask me :)

Thanks for watching!!!

Love,
zlinwong
